Turkish bread is one of my favourite types of bread. It’s fluffy and chewy at the same time! Make your own Turkish bread with this easy-to-follow Turkish Bread recipe!

  • 40g yeast
  • 200ml lukewarm water
  • 500g wheat flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • Sesame seeds
  1. Dissolve the yeast into the lukewarm water.
  2. Mix the wheat flour with the salt.
  3. Make a well in the centre.
  4. Pour the yeast mixture into the well.
  5. Knead by hand.
  6. Cover and let the dough rise for 15 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven at 200C.
  8. Shape it into a flat circle.
  9. Mix the egg yolk with the sugar and the oil.
  10. Brush the bread with the yolk mixture.
  11. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on the bread.
  12. Bake the bread in the oven for 15 minutes.
